Are you an aspiring writer? Or, do you already spend a little time writing but need a bit of motivation to keep going?
Or, maybe you just love to read a good story (especially one that’s TRUE and inspiring)!
No matter which category you’re in, you are going to love this!
I’m thrilled to be a part of a brand new book called Everbloom: Stories of Deeply Rooted and Transformed Lives. Members of the Redbud Writers Guild, an incredible group of authors and writers who have a wide array of experiences and backgrounds, compiled this book to share their stories with you.
In the Everbloom collection, the Redbud Writers offer essays, stories, and poetry: intensely personal accounts of transformation, and the journeys to find their own voices. Best of all, if you are a writer you will be inspired through out these stories by the included writing prompts that encourage a response of honesty, faith, and imagination.
My poem titled, “Just a Little More Beauty Lord,” is featured in one section of the book. It’s the first (and only) poem I’ve ever written! It describes my struggle with beauty and body image idolatry and how God has transformed my thinking on these issues.
The book is available for pre-order now on Amazon! (It releases April 25th!) It would make a PERFECT Mother’s Day gift.
Of course, what’s even better than buying it? Winning it! I’m going to give away a copy of the book this week on the blog and through social media!
Comment below with the name of one woman you know whose life inspires YOU and you may just be the winner!

My dear friend Esther Thiessen is constantly pushing me out of my comfort zone for God’s glory! I am so grateful for her friendship!
I’m so glad I found your site. I have been dealing with body issues and comparing my whole life and decided recently to take a step in a new direction. Your insight has already spoke directly to my heart, and allowed me to see a “bigger picture”. I can’t wait for your book to come out in June and for sure would love to read this one too. Thank you again for your testimony and your mission on helping us women who struggle with these issues! God bless
Aww . . .I’m so blessed to hear that Betsy! Thank you so much for your kindness in sharing. I’m encouraged that you are finding your way out of the bondage of body image and comparison issues. I know what it’s like on both sides – and freedom is better!! God will be faithful to lead you down the path that leads there!!! Thanks again! Hugs!
