Confidence! We’ve been told it comes from having a great body or achievements, or worse — some say we can have confidence just by having more self love. But is this really what the Bible teaches? I don’t think so. I think the kind of confidence we need doesn’t come from greater self esteem, but from greater God esteem. We can be most confident when we lay our own accomplishments, achievements, resume, or looks aside and determine to let it be Jesus in us that shines through. This is God confidence. And, guess what friends? Unlike our bodies or our statuses or our achievements–this kind of confidence can never be ripped away or shaken. Our verse of the day is 2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

I am doing the 30 day podcast praying for your body image now.
I am a restrictor of my food.
I lost a lot of weight due to stress when my mother was ill and it continued ( weight) loss when I didn’t need to loose.
Now I’m afraid of going back to a healthy weight.
I have given my weight and idol problem to the Lord but keep going back to my fearful & proud ways..
I’m not sure if this refocus 21 course is for me & want to be frugal with my money and time
I have enjoyed learning more about my struggles during the 30 days of encouragement & prayers & want to continue to put in practice things I need for healing.

Hi There! Let me attempt to answer all your questions. ReFOCUS is now self-paced, so you can take the course whenever you want to and it fits your schedule. There are 21 days worth of content- but you have 41 days to complete the course once you sign up (so if you get behind or have a busy week…you can still complete the course!) You do not need Facebook at all – we’ve moved completely away from social media for this course. It’s all offered through the website here. You just log in every day and watch the videos. We’ve worked a lot with women who restrict food! Please let me know if you have other questions! 🙂
